Marcum Partner David Bukzin Receives Alumni of Distinction Award from Baruch College
New York City, NY – David C. Bukzin, Partner-in-Charge of the New York City office of Marcum LLP, was honored with an Alumni of Distinction Award from the Baruch College Alumni Association. The award was presented by Baruch College President Mitchel B. Wallerstein at the 25th Anniversary Reunion of the Class of 1988. Mr. Bukzin received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baruch.
Mr. Bukzin has more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on SEC policies, practices and procedures and has an in-depth knowledge of the finance and management of closely held businesses. Since joining Marcum, a top national accounting and advisory Firm, in 1996, he has been instrumental in establishing and growing the Firm’s public company services. In addition to leading the New York City office, he also serves as Partner-in-Charge of Marcum’s national SEC and Transaction Services practices, as well as the New York City Assurance Services division.
In 2012, he conceived the Marcum MicroCap Conference, the accounting industry’s only investment forum dedicated to showcasing best-of-the-best microcap companies seeking capital, which earned Marcum the 2012 Innovative Firm Initiative of the Year Award from the Leading Edge Alliance. For his vision, Mr. Bukzin was named to the inaugural DealFlow Power 20, a list of the greatest influencers in the small cap market. Over 120 publicly traded companies and more than 1,000 institutional investors, bankers, and buy and sell-side analysts participated in the 2nd Annual Marcum MicroCap Conference on May 30.
In May 2013, Mr. Bukzin was honored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City at the annual Accountants & Bankers Reception. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and also is active with numerous community organizations, including B’nai B’rith (Banking and Finance Unit #5252), the Conservative Synagogue of Westport, Conn., and the Westport Country Playhouse.
