Marcum LLP Names New Partners

New York City, NY – Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory services firm, has named three new Partners. Anson J. Augustine, CPA, and John E. Klenner, CPA, are now Assurance Partners in the Firm’s New York City office. The appointments became effective September 2.

All of the new Marcum Partners were previously Directors in their respective divisions.

Mr. Augustine works with publicly traded and privately held companies in numerous industries, providing services related to SEC compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions and complex accounting and reporting issues. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He also volunteers with the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps (EVAC). He joined Marcum in 2003. A resident of New Rochelle, N.Y., Mr. Augustine holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance & Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fordham University, as well as a Master of Science in Human Resources from Hofstra University.

Mr. Klenner has extensive experience working closely with private businesses in various industries, including financial services, technology, real estate, energy and e-commerce. He advises clients on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and due diligence. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He also serves as Treasurer of the United States Tennis Association, Eastern Section, and as Treasurer of Malaria No More. Mr. Klenner joined Marcum in 2005. He is a resident of New Jersey, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the City University of New York.
