30 Philadelphia Companies Named Finalists for 2015 Marcum Innovator of the Year Awards
New York City, NY -Thirty Philadelphia companies employing more than 6700 people and generating over $1 billion in annual revenues have been named finalists for 2015 Marcum Innovator of the Year Awards, a program presented by accounting firm Marcum LLP in partnership with SmartCEO magazine. This year’s winners will be announced at a gala event at The Fillmore Philadelphia on October 27.
The Marcum Innovator of the Year Awards celebrates companies who blaze a trail in their fields by constantly seeking new ways to advance their industries. Nominees represent five industry sectors, including Biotech/Healthcare, Business Services, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Technology. One winner will be named in each category, and a Breakthrough Award will also be given to the company with the greatest annual revenue.
Nominees were required to demonstrate how their innovations solved a problem, how they helped differentiate their companies in their markets, what impact the innovations have had on the Philadelphia economy, and what kind of success or benefit they have produced in the marketplace. Each nominee also supplied a short statement of practical advice to other innovators in the early stages of development.
