2016 Marcum MicroCap Conference to Benefit Help for Children
New York City, NY – Marcum LLP announced today the charity beneficiary for its 2016 Marcum MicroCap Conference. Marcum is proud to have selected Help for Children/Hedge Funds Care (“HFC”). The nonprofit organization, which works to prevent and treat child abuse in six countries, is the global foundation of Hedge Funds Care and Private Equity Cares. A percentage of proceeds from Marcum’s annual investor conference, to be held June 1-2 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City, will be donated to support HFC grants.

We are particularly enthusiastic about partnering this year with Help for Children, which not only funds outstanding programs to combat one of the most urgent child health crises in the world today, but also rallies our industry to bring much-needed resources to this urgent cause,” said David C. The annual Marcum MicroCap Conference is dedicated to providing a forum where publicly traded companies with less than $500 million in market capitalization can network with the investment community. The 2016 conference has been expanded to two full days, with feature presentations by CEOs and CFOs from seven principal industry sectors, expert panels moderated by industry leaders, and the opportunity for investors to meet one-on-one with management of presenting companies. Marcum will again partner with KCSA Strategic Communications to present the conference this year.
A keynote address by a distinguished business leader will be featured on both days. In 2015, the keynote speaker was Richard Fuld, Jr., chairman of Matrix Advisors and former chairman and CEO of Lehman Brothers.
The Marcum MicroCap Conference attracts fund managers and high net worth investors who focus on small cap equities. More than 2,000 participants from all segments of the microcap market are expected to participate. Attendees include senior management, finance and legal executives, venture and lower middle-market private equity investors, institutional investors, directors, investment bankers, buy- and sell-side analysts, and service providers to the microcap marketplace.
