About Ted

Ted Carlson is the co-founder and president of the New York region of Marcum Technology, which specializes in BCDR, cybersecurity services, telecommunications, cloud computing, data protection, and 24/7 managed services.

Ted is a proven leader who develops strong client relationships, has a passion for building outstanding client teams, and maintains a disciplined focus on operations and execution.

With 30 years in the tech profession, Ted is responsible for managing the company, formulating and executing long-term strategies, and interacting with clients, employees, partners, and other stakeholders. He works with onboarding solution providers, is focused on M&A, and helps build out the Firm’s managed service practice.

Ted sets the tone for the company’s values, ethics, and culture. He has served on the board of directors since 2002 and has assembled a top-notch Marcum Technology executive team. He focuses on selecting the top tech talent from global financials, top four accounting firms, and managed service providers.

While focused on building Marcum Technology’s operations he continues to manage his top accounts, which have been with him for nearly 25 years.

Throughout his career, Ted has held a wide variety of leadership positions across key parts of the technology industry. Previously he was the senior vice president of sales for Marcum Technology’s Integrated Services Group, which supports clients in property management, banking, retail, healthcare, government, retail, and the insurance industry.

He loves to play golf with his clients, go boating, and enjoy a good meal. He currently lives on the eastern end of Long Island and has two kids attending college.
