Susanne Spinell Shuster is a director in the Firm’s Tax and Business Services Department in the Philadelphia office. She provides an integrative framework for her clients including comprehensive tax, accounting, and consulting services. Susanne advises on profitability and continuity strategies, assists clients in expanding their professional and business networks, and consults on matters relating to ongoing tax and business operations.

Her clients include privately held and family businesses, healthcare providers, professional service corporations, real estate groups, architects, and high net worth individuals.

Susanne has considerable experience leading accounting engagements for family offices and frequently contributes to family meetings in an advisory capacity. She is a speaker for local organizations and business groups and has been an adjunct professor at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management in the MBA and Masters programs for more than 20 years.

Prior to the 2022 merger joining Friedman and Marcum, Susanne led Friedman’s Outsourced Accounting Group and was chair of the Family and Closely Held Business Group at another accounting firm. She is a former member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee chair for St. Edmond’s Federal Savings Bank.
