Michael Buchheit is a partner in the Assurance Services Practice in the Philadelphia Office. He is an accomplished financial executive with proven success leading and developing teams and markets. His ability to adapt, as well as his broad industry accounting and auditing experience, provides clients with an entrepreneurial, collaborative approach to accelerate growth and profitability.

Michael’s area of professional experience includes planning and managing audit and accounting engagements. He has 20 years of professional experience including significant leadership experience. He has worked with clients in a wide variety of professional services industries including life sciences and biotechnology, manufacturing, distribution, software technology, construction contractors, and real estate. Michael’s focus includes identifying and addressing complex accounting and auditing issues, and advising clients on unique financial reporting and internal control issues surrounding private and publicly-traded entities.

Michael also possesses substantial niche experience in auditing Qualified Employee Benefit Plans, including Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP), and understands the compliance requirements of Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). He routinely suggests practical internal control recommendations, performs technical research, suggests accounting system design and implementation, and performs technical quality reviews.
