About Mac

Mac Causey is a partner in the Firm’s Technical Review and Quality Control group. He provides technical guidance to Firm professionals and clients on complex audit, accounting, and reporting issues, and the related professional standards and regulations.

Mac has extensive experience in accounting, audit, internal controls, quality control, and regulatory oversight. He has successfully handled a wide array of complex audit engagements for both private and publicly traded companies in a variety of industries, including financial institutions, financial services, and retail, and consumer products. He has in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC Reporting, and PCAOB audit standards, including the related quality control standards. He also has substantial experience in complex technical areas such as revenue recognition, business combinations, and financial instruments.

Prior to joining Marcum, Mac was director of quality control at a national public accounting firm serving both SEC registrants and private companies. He also served in the professional standards group of a national accounting firm.
