About Laura

Laura Stone is an audit director in Marcum’s Merrimack, NH office.

Laura manages audit services for municipalities and other governmental organizations across the State of Massachusetts. She has experience overseeing all aspects of many attestation engagements as well as experience in completing agreed-upon procedures engagements for school end-of-year reports and school student activity accounts.

Laura also has experience with audits of Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports

(ACFRs) that are submitted for review earning Certificates of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

Prior to joining Marcum, she was a Manager at Powers & Sullivan, LLC in Wakefield, MA, and joined Marcum with a 2024 merger.
