About Gloria

Gloria Moran is a Director in the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) practice. She has more than 13 years of experience providing financial reporting, external and internal audit, risk management, and financial due diligence services to large and middle market public and private companies (including multi-national) in various industries. She is focused on internal and external financial reporting in the mortgage servicing industry, internal audit for large multi-national manufacturing companies, and due diligences in varying industries. She also co-leads the FAAS practice in the Southeast Region.

Her experience with financial reporting includes leading the financial reporting function, from planning and reviewing month-end and quarter-end processes, consolidation of financial statements to managing the reporting teams. Within internal audit, she has experience performing risk assessments, planning, testing, and execution of audit plans as well as focusing on process improvements. Her experience with due diligence consists of being involved in buy and sell side deals, from scoping and planning to reporting. In addition, Gloria has assisted in preparing a company for potential sale to outside investors.

Gloria spent several years at a Fortune 100 multinational organization that is a leader in fuel logistics. While there, she held successive roles related to internal audit and financial reporting functions. Gloria led due diligence review for target acquisition and developed procedures and template for future deals; she also co-led the transition and implementation of the new Revenue Recognition Standard (ASC 606), including scoping revenue streams, risk assessment, review of contracts across segments, lines of business and regions. Additionally, she created and rolled out key global accounting policies. Gloria led the development and implementation of consolidated and segments balance sheet business performance reviews among many other responsibilities.

Gloria began her career with a Big Four firm where she spent several years providing audit and risk management services.
