Continuity, a New Haven software company that went from about $270,000 in revenue in 2011 to $3.4 million in 2014, is the top winner of the Marcum Tech Top 40 awards, Marcum LLP and the Connecticut Technology Council announced Thursday evening.
Continuity, which received $2 million in capital from Connecticut Innovations between 2009 and 2012, grew both by buying companies around the country and by expanding its market in providing automated compliance for financial institutions.
The company told Inc. Magazine earlier this year it had 52 employees and had added 37 since 2011.
CEO Andrew Greenawalt is a serial entrepreneur. He also founded Perimeter eSecurity, which had also been honored by the Tech Top 40 program.
The Marcum Tech Top 40 honors Connecticut companies for revenue growth in software, Internet and telecom, energy, life sciences and advanced manufacturing. Companies with at least $50,000 in revenue in 2010 and at least $3 million in 2014 were eligible.
