As Long Island’s largest accounting firm, Marcum partners and senior staff were interviewed by CBS2 News about the Firm’s contingency plans for the looming Long Island Railroad strike. A variety of measures will be put into place to ensure that client services will be uninterrupted and staff who normally commute between Long Island and New York City are able to travel and work from alternative locations.
If a strike goes ahead, Jim Aspromonti said “there is going to be pain” at his company, Marcum LLP Accountants and Advisors.
Aspromonti has been rescheduling meetings and shuffling commuting times at his national accounting firm, which has hundreds of employees on Long Island and in Manhattan. The firm has been planning as it would for an incoming storm.
