About John

John Rushford is a partner in the Firm’s Assurance Services division and member of its Capital Markets Group. He has more than 30 years of public accounting experience with a comprehensive background in the implementation of complex professional standards including SEC regulations, mergers and acquisitions, financial instruments and derivatives, initial public offerings, private placements, deal structuring and transaction due diligence.

As a senior member of the Firm’s Quality Control and Professional Standards department, John collaborates with others to develop the Firm’s professional standards and consults on various accounting and regulatory matters for clients and other professionals in the Firm.

John is well-versed in various complex technical issues and has served on numerous technical implementation committees. He shares his in-depth knowledge internally as an instructor for continuing professional education seminars on an extensive range of quality control and technical topics. In addition, he authors articles and provides the quality control review for the Firm’s newsletter, SEC Insights.

John joined the Firm as a Manager in 2000 and was promoted to Partner in 2008. Previously, he was with other regional public accounting firms.
