About Kim

Kim Lowney is a partner in the Firm’s Quality Control and Technical Review department. She provides guidance to Firm professionals and clients on complex technical accounting and reporting issues. Kim has more than 25 years of accounting and auditing experience with an extensive knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and SEC reporting requirements. She works closely with client engagement teams to provide strategic assistance and quality control reviews for private and publicly-traded companies in diverse industries.

With more than 25 years of financial and operational experience, Kim has developed considerable expertise in SEC regulations, accounting, auditing, international operations, mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, and quality control. This expertise enables her to successfully anticipate complex issues and offer solutions to correct situations before they become problems.

Kim collaborates with others to develop the Firm’s professional standards. She shares her in-depth knowledge by developing curriculums and as an in-house instructor for continuing professional education seminars on an extensive range of quality control and technical topics.

Kim joined the Firm in 2011. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked for several international public accounting firms, including a “Big Four” accounting firm, and has served as the Corporate controller for an international economic forecasting and a software manufacturing and distribution company. She assisted these companies through various stages of growth. She utilizes her private experience to provide advice, identify operational issues, and support to clients during the many stages of their development. During her tenure as a senior audit manager with an international public accounting firm, she completed the IPO and secondary offering for a technology based services company.
