Marcum’s Carolyn Mazzenga Receives Professional Mentoring Leadership Award from ACIT

New York City, NY – Carolyn Mazzenga, Long Island Partner-in-Charge at Marcum LLP, today received the prestigious Professional Mentoring Leadership Award from ACIT (Advancement for Commerce, Industry & Technology), a regional economic development organization. Ms. Mazzenga was among six women business leaders celebrated at the annual Monsignor Thomas Hartman Humanitarian Luncheon Honoring a Woman’s Path to Success.

A member of Marcum’s Executive Committee, Ms. Mazzenga also serves as National Partner-in-Charge of the Firm’s High Net Worth Individuals Practice group. As one of the Firm’s most senior women, she serves as a role model and mentor to other female professionals and was instrumental in launching the Marcum Women’s Leadership Development Program, an early initiative to help promote and nourish the careers of female managers and partners. She is a founding member of Marcum’s Diversity Committee, which is devoted in part to recruiting and cultivating women in the organization.

Ms. Mazzenga has authored numerous articles and speaks frequently before professional organizations on tax, estate and succession planning topics. She also has been quoted on work-life balance, flexible scheduling and women’s initiatives. Prior to joining Marcum in 1991, Ms. Mazzenga operated her own practice providing services to small, mid-sized and women-owned businesses.
