Illinois' Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) Reminders

Illinois' Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) Reminders

Last summer the State of Illinois announced the launch of the new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) known as Illinois’ Medicaid Program Advanced Could Technology (IMPACT). In order to transition to the new information system, billing agents, billing providers, and individuals rendering or servicing Medicaid individuals are required to revalidate their information in the new IMPACT system.

For those categorized as a facility, agency, or organization (FAOs) the revalidation deadline is June 30, 2016. The State has sent out a reminder for FAOs that failure to submit their revalidation will result in disenrollment from the Illinois Medicaid program effective September 25, 2016.

Providers who have recently enrolled in the Medicaid program and have completed their IMPACT enrollment will not be able to submit claims until the State has transferred their IMPACT enrollment data to the old MMIS, which may take up to two weeks from the date the IMPACT enrollment was approved. Once you receive your provider information sheet please review it for accuracy, this will serve as your notice that your information has been input into both information systems and that you may proceed with billing your claims. The clock for timely filing will commence from the date your enrollment data is transferred to the old MMIS.

For additional information on the IMPACT integration, including contact information, you may visit the State’s website at: http://www.illinois.gov/hfs/impact/Pages/default.aspx.
