Connecticut Nursing Home Rate Setting Update
We have been recently been made aware of the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services (Department) release of nursing home Medicaid rates effective retroactively to July 1, 2013 and the for rate period ending June 30 2014.
Please be advised Section 17b-238(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes provides for an administrative appeal of the Department’s calculation of such rates assuming the receipt of an appeal within ten days from the date of the rates issuance. A detailing of these items of aggrievement must then be filed within 90 days of this correspondence in order to initiate the rate rehearing process. I items aggrievement are not detailed within the ninety days the Department will deem the appeal withdrawn.
