America’s Got Talent Finalist "Sal the Voice" Valentinetti to Perform National Anthem at the 2017 Marcum Workplace Challenge

New York City, NY – Sal Valentinetti, the Long Island crooner who made America swoon as a finalist on last season’s America’s Got Talent, will perform the national anthem at the 2017 Marcum Workplace Challenge. The annual charity run-walk at Jones Beach State Park will take place this year on Tuesday, July 25.

About “Sal the Voice”

Sal first learned the American standards at his grandmother’s knee, and his passion grew further when he discovered his hidden vocal talent in his teenage years. “Sal the Voice,” as he is known by everyone from Brooklyn to Bay Shore, can be found on most Sundays sipping cappuccino at the café, telling stories, making jokes and planning his next move – to bring back to American pop culture the consummate, classy, old-school entertainer with a heart of gold.

When his grandmother passed away, her music was all Sal had to remember her by. After successfully auditioning for Season 14 of American Idol, Sal wowed the judges on Season 11 of Americas Got Talent and won Heidi Klum’s golden buzzer. He made it past the semi-finals and competed in the final show. He is currently performing throughout the Tri-State area and on Long Island.

About the Marcum Workplace Challenge

The Marcum Workplace Challenge is Long Island’s largest run-walk for charity, as well as the region’s largest corporate picnic. In 2016, the event’s 11th year, $115,000 was raised for four Long Island nonprofits, the most ever, bringing the cumulative total to in excess of $700,000. More than 9,300 runners and walkers from a record 215 corporate teams participated, and 12,000-plus Long Islanders attended in total. The event is presented by Marcum LLP, Long Island’s top-ranked accounting and advisory firm, and produced by the Greater Long Island Running Club.

“The Marcum Workplace Challenge is a highlight of the year for us and for the Long Island business community,” said Carolyn Mazzenga, partner-in-charge of Marcum’s Long Island region. “Every year we raise more money for charity, have more companies participating, and welcome more Long Islanders to the field. It is a great demonstration of how Long Islanders always turn out to help those in need, and having Sal the Voice as part of our program this year will make it even more special.”
