Marcum LLP

Diversity & Inclusion

Marcum is committed to fostering a culture that is both diverse and inclusive -- one that encourages and enables all associates and partners to be successful.

A national Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Steering Committee comprised of Marcum women and men oversees a rich program of activities and initiatives implemented at the local level in the Firm’s offices across the country. Local activities and implementation of national initiatives are managed by regional D&I boards.

Some of our D&I programs include the following:

  • Associate Resource Groups – affinity groups for associates and partners with similar interests or backgrounds
  • Associate Spotlights – showcase to introduce individual associates Firm-wide
  • Diversity & Inclusion Month – variety of activities to uncover and share the diversity of associates and partners at Marcum
  • International Women’s Day – celebration of women at Marcum
  • Marcum Women’s Initiative - supports women’s career success at Marcum

What is Diversity & Inclusion? Diversity is the mixture of individuals in society, while inclusion is enabling that mixture to thrive. Diversity recognizes that everyone is different; inclusion leverages those differences to achieve collective success. Diversity is the mix; inclusion is getting the mix to work well.

  • Connect Marcum women to women in the marketplace.
  • Develop mentoring relationships.

Associate Resource Groups

Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) connect all Marcum associates for networking, mentorship, and professional development, based on shared interests, cultures, lifestyles, and abilities. The ARGs help build trusting relationships, create community and camaraderie, and enable associates to support each other in myriad ways. The goal is to foster awareness, respect, and inclusion and to identify common interests and areas for associate collaboration across the Firm. The voluntary national ARG program is managed by local chapters led by associates in each participating office.
